We help multi-family house owners reduce time spent on service and claim handling and increase tenant satisfaction by providing actionable real time, supplier independent information of the building‘s heating system and creating a communication channel with tenants.

Prototype

First, we designed a mock-up IPad application to show owners and service providers the front end of the system. Second, we built a prototype for retrofit installations, with off-the shelf components. We tested this prototype in the Rainmaking Loft and then installed it in the basements of 2 multi-family homes in Berlin, to validate and optimize the concept of our monitoring and alarm system.

Prototype

During our multiple customer interviews in water treatment, marine and HVAC, we identified Arhus water treatment plant as a potential pilot customer. We have built a prototype with internal resources, installed the prototype on 15.12 on a pumping application at Arhus water and have been collecting real-time data since then.

Danfoss mConnect changes how specialty OEMs provide global service by adding smart tools that boost speed and transparency.

Prototype

We have an InVision app mockup that brings together the OEM, the local service center and the owner of the machine. We have identified several specialty OEMs in the US and Europe as pilot customers for the prototyping phase. Our next step is to build a working version of the app and deploy it to our pilot customers for testing before harvesting season starts (August 2017).

COOLX

We make getting a coldroom simple for small business owners, thanks to our easy-to-use online selection tool, the promise to give a quote in 48h and our leasing financial model.

Prototype

We set up the website (yourcoldroom.com), created a coldroom selection tool with the promise to provide a quote within 48h. We created a google adwords campaign in the UK and Ireland which got us 242 visits in 6 days, that converted to 16 quote requests within 6 days. We have a very promising lead in Birmingham and hope to install a coldroom before the end of this year.

Mould Experts

We help Housing Associations and tenants keep apartments free of mould by motivating tenants to air their homes, because we believe being free of mould is a basic human right

Prototype

Our plug&play, cloud-connected sensor collects temperature and humidity data from apartments and sends sms-notifications to tenants when humidity is too high, so they will open their windows. We proved during tests with 15 tenants that we can change their behaviour. With two confirmed pilot projects with housing associations and three more in the pipeline, we plan to install our prototype into 300 flats by September 2017 to be ready for winter, when the risk of mould is the highest.

Integrated Power Management (IPM) brings together the best of the hydraulic and the electronic world for workboat cranes, to increase boat safety and energy efficiency.

How we killed our darling

We interviewed 18 customers and stakeholders in 2 continents and learned that they did not want our idea because it increased design complexity, while they were looking for elegance and robustness of design. However, thanks to the interview insights, we pivoted towards Deck Doctor, a DYI-repair guide aimed at the unskilled labour force on workboats in Asia. We ultimately decided to hand over Deck Doctor to the dedicated IoT Team of Power Solutions and ended our rollercoaster ride in Week 9.

Cold Monitor

We help refrigeration installers save time & money and have peace of mind operating refrigeration system thanks to our user-friendly app for remote monitoring and control, combined with a low cost hardware kit.

Prototype (http://www.coldmonitor.com)

We developed a proof of concept of the hardware and the app together with our partner Upnext and installed our prototype onsite in Warsaw, Poland. We tested the app with several installers across Europe and received a very positive feedback on the user-friendly interface and app functionalities, while confirming the installer’s willingness to pay for the solution. In the next 6 months, we want to develop a second version of the hardware prototype to make it modular and add more functionalities to the app.

We help supermarkets focus on their core business by offering to operate, maintain, monitor, and optimize their refrigeration system.

Prototype

Based on the interviews we had with dozens of food-retailers and individual supermarket owners, we developed three refrigeration-as-a-service concepts and tested them with Coop, a Danish food retail chain. Coop selected one of the concepts as its preferred option for a pilot project and we are now identifying and onboarding the right partners to execute the project for Coop.
